Black Table Talk

From the release of one of the most iconic albums of all time, Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On, to the development of the IU Soul Revue at Indiana University, 1971 was a year to remember. The Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center and African American Arts Institute invite you to join us at noon on Friday, October 15 for this special Homecoming edition of Black Table Talk featuring a conversation with the Executive Director of the AAAI, Dr. Charles Sykes focusing on the music, activism, and pivotal events of 1971 including the release of Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On and the development of the IU Soul Revue. This is a hybrid event that will take place via webinar and in Grand Hall. For those who choose the webinar option, access information will be sent soon. The event is open to the public.
