Year-End Congratulatory

Congratulations

Congratulations, Scholars! On behalf of Indiana University and the program personnel of the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center Senior Celebration, we applaud your achievements. On May 7, 2021, join us as we gather virtually to celebrate 2021 IU graduating seniors.

Letter From the Director

Greetings!

On behalf of the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center staff, I congratulate you, Class of 2021, on reaching this incredible milestone. You've accomplished a great deal academically, professionally, and personally. Even though we cannot be together for a traditional Black Congratulatory Celebration, this achievement is just as special.

Your final year at IU has certainly had its share of challenges with a global health pandemic and the collective losses our community has shared due to racism and systemic injustice. As scholars who have been supported by the NMBCC, we are so proud of your perseverance. You were resilient when you could have easily given up. You found joy and light in the darkest of situations. You came together, even virtually, despite isolation and moments where you wanted to escape the turbulent realities we faced. You stayed the course, and I count it a privilege to have been on the journey with you.

Never forget the NMBCC is always home. Tim, Inger, Nancy, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors and hope you will keep in touch.

Peace and Blessings,

Gloria Howell, Director
Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center
